Dr. Balasaraswathy did her
M.B.,B.S. from Karnatak Medical College, Hubli in 1992. She passed her Diploma in
Dermatology and Venereology (D.V.D.) with distinction from Kasturba Medical College,
Mangalore in 1996 under the guidance of Prof. Ganesh S. Pai and D.N.B. from P.S.G. Institute of Medical Science and Research,
Coimbatore in 2000 under the guidance of Prof. C.R. Sreenivas. She has received training in dermatosurgical procedures at the Dept.
of Dermatology at Kasturba Hospital, Manipal, Nanavathi Hospital, Mumbai and P.S.G.
Institute of Medical Science and Research, Coimbatore under the guidance of Dr. Satish
Savant, Dr. Vinay Saraf and Dr. C.R Sreenivas, pioneers in the field of dermatosurgery. |

Special
Interests:
Dr. Balasaraswathy has special interest in
the treatment of pimples (acne) and its complications like scarring. She is also
interested in the comprehensive management of vitiligo (leukoderma) with PUVA therapy and
skin grafting as well as other surgical treatment of skin diseases. She
does Cosmetology counselling. |

Equipment:
Her clinic is equipped with the Waldman
(Germany) UVA phototherapy unit, Conmed (U.S.A.) electrosurgery and electrolysis unit,
Brymill (U.S.A.) cryosurgery unit, Carbon Dioxide Slush therapy unit and facilities for
chemical peeling. |
